Movie lists can never please everyone. Masterpieces are often simply incomparable.
That said, I get a lot of pleasure out of endlessly ranking movies.
This edition has 14 newcomers and therefore also 14 dropouts compared to 2021.
The highest newcomers this year are Yi Yi (#23) and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (#25).
Last year's highest dropouts are Turist (#74) and Irreversible (#76).
The biggest risers within the list are Grizzly Man (+46) and Cache (+26).
The biggest fallers within the list are The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (-52) and The Truman Show (-49).
